Have not posted SOTD in a while, but figured I will participate in AA!. Got myself a Zenith boar from from gentleshave. Was not the most comfortable shave of course, brush was quite elastic, scritchy, hopefully it will ease with time as it breaks in (on my face). The bowl in the background is not in use, and won't be used this month (I am mostly a face latherer now anyways). First time using Proraso Green Aftershave, it is quite nice. Nice mild scent, with the menthol I like. Also, sticking with one pass shaves, as my face can not take multi pass for 31 days.

Morning folks! Another less than ideal shave with the board brush! Ate up all my soap! I am sticking with one pass shaves for now, as my skin can only take so many passes daily. I had to reload multiple times to get amount of soap i wanted to apply, my hard water probably does not make it any easier. Definitely a challenge also with the stiffness, and less stubble today to lather with. Still successful shave, loving the proraso scent. EdT is great as usual, who doesn't like SSL? Anyways, hopefully things get better, hope everyone a good day!

Morning all again. Mr chubby boar brush decided to eat a lot of my soap today, in a regression, but thats fine. Its still breaking in. Getting used to loading a lot, which is why I am using a Catie's Bubbles soap, which tend to last a lot longer than the softer soaps.

Today was a better day with the boar brush. It did not seem to suck up a ton of soap, and generally a better experience. It is still a bit stiff, but thinking its making progress in breaking in. Ignore mess by daily pic, bathroom counter needs a deep cleaning from all the soap that has splashed everywhere.

Not much to say today. Boar brush is definitely not requiring as much lather, and is absolutely feeling software. Its still pretty stiff when dry, but when soaking it (under five minutes while during shaving prep), its softish again. I think its breaking in nicely. Also, mine never seemed to have smelled, like others has mentioned, or I just don't have the nose for it.

Nice weekend shave, boar brush pretty much same as yesterday, lathering but better vs when first started. Enjoying the nice cool menthol from the Proraso aftershave splash as I write this.

Boar brush definitely not eating my soap much anymore. Still a little scritchy, when it dries going to compare with all ready broken in omega, to see how much more it has to go. I hated the omega, just didn't grip well with my hand, and ached my hand after roughing around the soap. I might be feeling a little bit of the 9 use blade now, but not sure. I have not been making the soap wet enough, due to constant rush in the morning, wonder if thats wearing down blade faster than usual.

Wow, almost forgot to do the AA sotd today! Good shave, got a real good lather today with the boar brush. I am now doing 1.5 passes per day, as the scruff near jaw was bugging me, so do XTG a bit, but not entire face. I do have a question for those of you using same blade for 31 days, do you do anything to prevent rust on it? I notice some tea rust stains creeping from under, have not removed blade from razor since I started AA, wondering if I should to let it dry out.

Good shave today, although I noticed the scratchiness a little with the brush. I guess there is still more room for it to break it, but lather was not eaten. Blade is a bit rusty, doesn't look like rust made it to edges (yet), hoping that it will be ok, as trying for 31 days with same blade.

Day 13th of AA, not going so bad. Brush works, holds its lather now, and is an enjoyable shave. I don't think all the tips have split yet, was grabbing some at random and trying to check, but probably enough to make it feel comfortable. Still enjoying waterlyptus, overall just a great scent in a great long lasting base.
