I couldn’t make it any longer on the nacet. I’ll see if a milder voskhod feels better.

I think this brush is breaking in nicely. I drained a small bit of water before loading and then added more at the tail end to generate more protolather. This provided enough for four passes.

Good citrus shave today. Added bell ringer to the den to go with my abundance of citrus soaps. Loaded 3/4 passes today. I wasn’t able to achieve my usual lather consistency but still resulted in a decent shave

Sailor Saturday- tried some preshave oil today. Obvious benefit at this time is adding some Stirling spice into the mix. I didn’t notice any clogging in the razor or affect to the lather. I like the scent on bay laurel. It’s funny how the only difference from Stirling’s bay rum is the lack of clove. Bay rum was one of few samples I binned early on.

The boar did better today. I didn’t shake any water out before loading. Stirling handled the water on the front end well. I made it 3 passes on the first load.

Well this brush turned out pretty good. It has nice splay without being too floppy. I need to remember to conserve a lot of water at first when switching soaps.

Next month I’ve got a semogue 1305 to break in but I’ll be mixing in some synthetics and bowl lathers.

I picked up a Stirling razor with the hyper aggressive plate to play with next.
