This is, men. We must survive this month of shaving and I fully intend all of you here make it out alive, and with only a few nicks or minor irritation to make us worse for the wear.

The path we have chosen for he present is full of hazards, as all paths are; but it is the one most consistent with our character and courage as wet shavers and our commitments across this subReddit. The cost of personal grooming is always high, but A.A. users of Midnight Stag have always paid it. And one path we shall never choose, and that is the path of surrender or submission. Our goal is not the victory of might, but the vindication of right; not personal grooming at the expense of cartridges, but instead both wet shaving and Midnight Stag, here in this wet shaving sphere, and, we hope, around the world. God willing, that goal will be achieved.

Thus I stand before you fellow brave men today and I will heartily look every one of you in the eyes and say thusly unto you: Are we having fun or what?

My father handed me this album some 20+ years ago, and this is been a regular listen over many, many moons.

The songs make use of hymnals and religious vocal arrangements, but intermixed with other sounds and instruments which ultimately make for an eerie, foreboding and almost doomed listening experience. Interspersed with the songs are occasional spoken words, in one instance recorded from an American crime TV show, followed by a brief interview with the serial killer who committed the aforementioned crime.

To say this music is the stuff of nightmares is a vast understatement. This is spooky, haunted listening and at its very core, this is the stuff which nightmares are made out of. I could easily play this on repeat while hosting a Halloween party and it would make for the perfect setting.

Listening to this does bring back some nostalgia of my younger, slightly spookier and chaotic days. This is probably their best album, and while I have others of their collection, I regularly go back to this over and over again.

Here is another pleasant little jaunt into the realm of classical music. This is Samuel Barber's best-known classical work and he was a composer from the early part of the 20th century. This isn't something I listen to regularly but it does have a haunting, dreamy, yet sad aura about it.
