Aug. 12, 2022 - Austere August - Raw Hoggin' MMOC Ultra Nightmare Mode
Day 12 was another stellar shave with the boar, GEM, MITA combo. While a much more relaxed shave than yesterday, it yielded similar results and the lather was stellar. Do I dare say that I’m on autopilot with the GEM?
The Brush: The brush delivered another comfy, scrubby, soft delivery of lather and it really is enjoyable working the soap into my face. While the hog smell is slightly still there, it is definitely about to give up its ghost. I’ve successfully dialed down how much soap I’m loading and am still producing enough for at least 3 passes even though I’m only doing 2 (for now). #RawHoggin

The Razor I’m afraid to say it, but I’m going to say it anyway, I think I’ve got WTG & XTG passes on autopilot. I feel like I really understand how the razor behaves and have the angle down pretty well. I’ve also figured out areas of my face to attack with a steeper angle and others to keep the razor more flush with my face. I found that keeping a slightly “lifted” angle works best for me. No cuts, nicks or irritation and another great 2 pass shave. #GEMsOfWisdom

The Soap and Aftershave The soap is still awesome and I haven’t tired of the scent yet. I am starting to long for other soaps but being away from home keeps it out of mind.
